DJI, a world leader in creative aerial technology announced the launch of DJI Mainfold, a high performance embedded computer designed for flight. The Manifold is base on the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor.
Here a link to the press release.
The Manifold is build around the Tegra K1 processor, the same processor that is used in the Jetson TK1 development kit. That means that the Manifold supports CUDA, OpenCV and ROS which makes it suitable towards research and development of progressional applications. Manifold can natively run the DJI Onboard SDK, access flight data and perform intelligent control and data analysis.
The Manifold is housed in an 11cm x 11cm x 2.6cm housing and weighs in at around 200 grams. It can be mounted to the expansion bay of the DJI Matrice 100.
The Manifold has a wide variety of I/O choices, including USB 3.0 (x2), USB 2.0 (x2), Ethernet, Mini-PCIe, HDMI, UART, SPI and I2C ports. These I/O ports allows connection to a wide variety of sensors, monitors and other peripherals.
Check it out.
